Youth Presentations

Our staff provides informative and educational presentations for Boy/ Girl Scouts, 4-H Groups, Schools, Adult and Youth Organizations, Beautification Groups, Expos, Farmer’s Markets, and Literacy Nights.

Our youth presentations include videos, activity/work sheets, experiments and open discussion and are available to schools, youth groups, scouts and 4-H groups.

Classroom presentation curriculum is aligned with Ohio Department of Education Standards in Science, Mathematics and English and comes from sources such as the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ Windows on Waste, Super Saver Investigators, and Investigating Solid Waste Issues; Keep America Beautiful, Waste in Place and American Plastics Council’s Hands On Plastic.

Longer presentations are hands-on while shorter ones include a worksheet, story, craft or game. Each presentation is geared to a specific grade or age group.

We also have adult presentations with hands-on activities where attendees learn the benefits of recycling at home and the workplace. We aim to show our residents how recycling saves landfill space and natural resources as well as creates job growth and opportunities.
