The JBRSWA/JB Green Team is responsible for implementing the a solid waste management plan designed to achieve the goals set by the Ohio EPA for waste reduction, recycling and reducing reliance on land filling waste generated within the two counties. For many years we have received the majority of our funding through tipping fees generated by landfills and transfer stations in the district. However, in 2014 the amount of fees the JBRSWA/JB Green Team revenues were greatly reduced forcing the Authority to implement another funding source. Fees and tax revenues are used to provide programs and services for our residents, businesses and industries.

OUR BOARD MEMBERS
The JBRSWA Board of Trustees is comprised of fifteen members from both Jefferson and Belmont counties. The Board oversees the operation of the Authority and is responsible for implementing the programs. The Board meets on the second Monday of each month to approve financial statements and to discuss and act on matters related to the operation of the District. As with all public meetings, the Board meetings are open to the public. The date/location of the next meeting can be found below or you may contact our office for the next scheduled date. Our Board holds monthly Meetings alternating between the two Counties which are open to the public.
Our regular Board meeting are usually the 2nd Monday of each Month (except on Legal Holidays), at 5:30 PM. Scheduled meeting dates & locations can be found under the Resources tab from our MENU.

We are currently taking applications for CDL Driver (Class B).
For Full Time position at $18.32 per hour with benefit’s and retirement plan. Background check and Drug screening prior to hire, and random pool during employment. Normal work schedule out of St. Clairsville location will be Monday’s – Friday’s 7AM-3PM with some weekends.
3-5 years driving experience preferred, clean MVR, experience driving front-loading garbage truck lifting 6 yard bins desirable. Must pass and hold DOT physical. Physical requirements include ability to do manual labor, heavy lifting up to 70 pounds, walk long distance and prolong standing, drive 8 hour route. Must be able to work well with others and complete paperwork. Job duties include but are not limited, front loading packer, rear load packer, tow truck with trailer and operate equipment such as articulating loader, compactor, hand cleanup of bin collection sites as needed, and all other work as directed by Belmont Program Director or Executive Director.
